Preferred Provider - Doctors/Hospitals Sample Clauses

The Preferred Provider - Doctors/Hospitals clause designates specific healthcare providers or facilities that an insured individual must use to receive the maximum benefits under a health insurance plan. In practice, this means that policyholders are encouraged or required to seek medical care from a network of approved doctors or hospitals, often resulting in lower out-of-pocket costs or higher coverage levels. This clause helps control healthcare costs for both the insurer and the insured by steering patients toward providers with negotiated rates, and it ensures clarity regarding which medical services are covered at the most favorable terms.
