Common use of Prepayment of Basic Rent Clause in Contracts

Prepayment of Basic Rent. The Tenant may at any time prepay all or any part of the Basic Rent. Prepayments of Basic Rent will be applied to redemption of the Bonds (other than mandatory sinking fund redemption), including payment of redemption premium, as directed in writing by the Tenant, to the extent that Bonds are subject to optional redemption at the time of prepayment. Otherwise, prepayments of Basic Rent will be deposited in the Debt Service Fund to be applied to purchase of Bonds as provided in the Indenture, or to optional redemption of Bonds (including redemption premium and interest) at the earliest date on which Bonds are subject to optional redemption.
