Common use of Principal's Working Files Clause in Contracts

Principal's Working Files. These files include information that a principal or assistant principal gathers on an ongoing basis that might be used in conferring with teachers, or as part of a formal evaluation document. This information will be purged unless referenced in the year-end evaluation document. If so used, it will be kept in the official file and a copy will be provided to the teacher. Teachers may access this file upon a seventy-two (72) hour notice to the principal. A letter of concern or other documentation may only be retained if referenced in the year-end evaluation documents.
