Private carrier Clause Samples

A 'Private carrier' clause defines the status and obligations of a carrier that transports goods for specific individuals or companies, rather than offering services to the general public. This clause typically clarifies that the carrier is not subject to the same regulatory requirements as common carriers and may set out the terms under which goods are accepted and transported, such as liability limitations or delivery conditions. Its core function is to distinguish the carrier’s responsibilities and legal exposure, ensuring both parties understand the scope of service and risk allocation in private transportation arrangements.
