Common use of Private Land Clause in Contracts

Private Land. The Parties reaffirm their commitments made in the NFPS to the conservation and management of the Private Forest Estate and acknowledge that the State: • has a policy for maintaining a permanent Native Forest Estate to regulate the extent of clearing and conversion of the Native Forest Estate, including on Private Land; • has native vegetation retention controls under the Forest Practices ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ (Tas) and the Nature Conservation ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ (Tas) to regulate the clearance and conversion of threatened native vegetation communities, including on Private Land; • maintains a Forest Practices System that requires private Forest Owners to undertake their management operations consistently with the principles of Ecologically Sustainable Forest Management; • will continue to provide ongoing monitoring and management support services to Owners of covenanted land under the Nature Conservation ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ (Tas).
