Probationary Termination. At any time during the probationary period, the Employer may terminate the employee’s employment by giving one week’s notice, or pay in lieu, except where an employee is being discharged for irregular conduct violation of the employer’s rules, in which case, an employee may be dismissed without notice, provided that the union office shall be notified forthwith of such termination. At time of ratification, employees fulfilling probationary or trial periods of a shorter or longer duration than stated above shall complete their period pursuant to the terms and conditions of employment governing them when hired, transferred, reclassified or promoted.
