Professional Learning Days. 2.19.1 Schools deemed isolated (at time of this settlement being those covered by Targeted Funding for Isolation) shall have funding for three professional learning days per annum (per school) for the purpose of enabling permanent and long term relieving teachers to visit other schools for professional learning. 2.19.2 The parties developed guidelines for the use of this time during 2008. The guidelines include consultation between employers and teachers on the processes of allocation of the professional learning days.
Professional Learning Days. Attendance at Professional Learning Days is mandatory for all unit members. Unit members utilizing any type of leave must report the absence and state “No Sub Required.” 9.4.1 An annual Professional Learning Day schedule for nurses, including the fulfillment of CPR requirements, shall be developed by the lead nurse, in collaboration with the District.
Professional Learning Days. Bargaining unit represented employees may, in addition to their normal work schedules, participate in up to three (3) professional learning days (prorated, based on employee’s FTE) for staff development training during each year of this Agreement. Such training shall be planned cooperatively between the employee and the building principal or supervisor and is subject to final approval by the building principal or supervisor. The employee may appeal denial of a request to the superintendent or her/his designee. Employee attendance at training programs shall be optional. Employees shall be compensated at their regular straight-time hourly rate of pay in compliance with state and federal regulations regarding such activities. Participation in training will be considered part of an employee’s work hours for the week in which training was attended, and an employee shall be compensated at one-and-one-half (1-1/2) times the employee's hourly rate for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours that week.

Professional Learning Days a. Professional and Temporary Professional Employees shall complete Differentiated Supervision Action Plans in lieu of attending District identified professional development days. Professional staff with pre-approved plans may work according to the timeline and tentative dates, hours and location identified in their plan. All Differentiated Supervision Action Plans must be completed prior to the guideline dates established by the District, in accordance with the plan established. Professional staff that do not have pre-approved Differentiated Supervision Action Plans are required to attend District professional development on the dates included in the school calendar. b. The mandatory reporting professional development days and the flexible professional development days will be reflected in the School Calendar that is Board approved in the Spring, prior to the commencement of the school year. The number of hours an employee spends working on a Differentiated Supervision Action Plan as flexible time shall equal the amount of time the employee is excused from completing professional development time at her/his school. Any additional changes to professional development shall be bargained between the Association and the District.
Professional Learning Days a. Professional Learning will focus on instructional methods, including teaching strategies, classroom management and other training designed to improve pupil performance and academic content in the core curriculum. b. The Professional Learning Committee will be encouraged to use Professional Learning days within the contractual year. These days shall include, but not be limited to: (1) Planning and preparing the instructional program.

  • Deviation from Grievance Procedure The Employer agrees that, after a grievance has been discussed at Step 2 of the grievance procedure the Employer or his representatives shall not initiate any discussion or negotiations with respect to the grievance, either directly or indirectly with the aggrieved employee without the consent of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or the Union.

  • Business Continuity Registry Operator shall maintain a business continuity plan, which will provide for the maintenance of Registry Services in the event of an extraordinary event beyond the control of the Registry Operator or business failure of Registry Operator, and may include the designation of a Registry Services continuity provider. If such plan includes the designation of a Registry Services continuity provider, Registry Operator shall provide the name and contact information for such Registry Services continuity provider to ICANN. In the case of an extraordinary event beyond the control of the Registry Operator where the Registry Operator cannot be contacted, Registry Operator consents that ICANN may contact the designated Registry Services continuity provider, if one exists. Registry Operator shall conduct Registry Services Continuity testing at least once per year.

  • Professional Development Days Upon request, each Employee shall be granted at least three (3) professional development days annually for professional development, at the Basic Rate of Pay. An Employee shall be advised, prior to taking any professional development days of any transportation, registration fees, subsistence and other expenses that will be paid by the Employer. Such hours not used in each fiscal year shall not be carried forward into subsequent years. Applications for such paid professional development opportunities shall be made in writing, to the Employer as early as possible.

  • E-LEARNING E-Learning is defined as a method of credit course delivery that relies on communication between students and teachers through the internet or any other digital platform and does not require students to be face-to-face with each other or with their teacher. Online learning shall have the same meaning as E-Learning.

  • Certified and Minority Business Enterprises Reports Upon Customer request, the Contractor shall report to the requesting Customer the Contractor’s spend with certified and other minority business enterprises in the provision of commodities or services related to the Customer’s orders. These reports shall include the period covered, the name, minority code, and Federal Employer Identification Number of each minority business utilized during the period; commodities and services provided by the minority business enterprise, and the amount paid to each minority business enterprise on behalf of the Customer.
