Professional Liability and Protection. Subject to the Districts' personal liability insurance coverage, the Districts agree to save employees harmless and defend from any financial loss, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of any claim, demand, suit, criminal prosecution or judgment by reason of any act or failure to act by such employee within or without the school building, provided such employee at the time of the act or omission complained of, was acting within the scope of his employment or under the direction of the board. The Boards shall protect employees while engaged in the maintenance of order and discipline and the protection of school personnel and students and the property thereof by providing insurance coverage through the Districts' carriers in compliance with RCW 28A.58.425 and other applicable statute(s) including a limit of $500 tort liability per claim.
