Project Criteria for Success. Broadly, the City will benchmark this project using four distinct metrics:  Cost Containment-To increase efficiencies and contain or reduce costs;  Streamline Operations-to increase the productivity of existing personnel and provide policy makers with essential management information.  Enhanced Service-to provide employees with the tools to effectively represent and deliver the tasks of government.  Accountability-to provide clear cost and service justifications for services provided to citizens and taxpayers. It is desirable to integrate and interface the information system throughout the City as much as possible as it will provide several advantages:  Complete integration of all Munis modules and all data toward effective business processes;  Eliminate many shadow databases, spreadsheets currently required in AS400 system;  Easy facilitation of periodic upgrades with one vendor and another;  Improved business processes, including adoption of best practices;  Inter-departmental collaboration based upon shared data;  Less data redundancy and data entry repetition;  Comprehensive interfacing with third party products to the level that there is little redundant entry into Munis the system  Increased efficiencies in querying, reporting, analyzing and distributing information.
