Common use of Project Delays Clause in Contracts

Project Delays. If the Engineer is required to perform additional work due to delays by the imposition of causes not within the Engineer’s control, such as by the re-advertisement of bids or by the delinquency or insolvency of contractors, such work associated with these delays shall be considered additional work, and the Engineer shall be compensated by the Owner for such extra services and expense in accordance with Article 9 hereof.
