Common use of Project Inspector Clause in Contracts

Project Inspector. Failure of the Project Inspector to note or require correction of improper or defective work does not relieve the Contractor from its responsibility to correct such improper or defective work. The Project Inspector has no authority to and shall not: a. Enter into the area of responsibility of the Contractor's superintendent; b. Issue directions relative to any aspect of construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or procedures, or in regard to safety precautions and programs in connection with the Work; c. Authorize or suggest that the City occupy the project, in whole or in part; or d. Issue a certificate for payment.
