The Plan includes a chapter on Hazardous Waste Management that may be reviewed and updated Investigation, Assistance, Enforcement RECIPIENT anticipates performing the following work under this taskactivity: • Investigate and resolve solid waste related complaints and concerns • Offer technical assistance about solid waste regulations and how to prevent violations • Provide public education about proper handling and disposal methods, and how to prevent violations • Assist in the proper handling of abandoned or illegally stored junk or nuisance vehicles • Enforce as necessary This task includes development and distribution of promotional materials in a variety of formats to encourage compliance. The Plan includes a chapter on Hazardous Waste Management that RECIPIENT will accomplish monitoring of solid waste handling facilities and sites as prescribed by the applicable solid waste regulation(s), including but not limited to permitting, inspections and oversight, review of groundwater data, and annual review of financial assurance. New solid waste permit applications and notices of exemption considered during the Agreement period for facilities not identified under this task may be reviewed and updated managed under this taskAgreement. RECIPIENT may contract for will track facilities/sites monitored and include the information in quarterly progress reports, including uploading a copy of inspection reports conducted in the quarter. RECIPIENT will file all issued permits as prescribed herein. Activity – Solid Waste Investigation, Assistance and Enforcement RECIPIENT will investigate solid waste related complaints or concerns, including, at RECIPIENT’s discretion, assisting in the proper handling of abandoned or illegally stored junk or nuisance vehicles. RECIPIENT will also offer technical assistance in accordance with the General Terms about solid waste regulations and Conditions of this agreement. Grant payments are disbursed according how to the following Proposed Work Plan and Reimbursement schedule . Proposed Work Plan and Reimbursement Schedule: Q1 Chapters are drafted. Submit to SWAC and Ecology copies of drafted chapters. Eligible costs to this point are reimbursable. Q2 Chapters are drafted. Submit to SWAC and Ecology copies of drafted chapters. Incorporate SWAC comments. Provide Draft Plan for commissioner review. Eligible costs to this point are reimbursable. Q3 SEPA, other agencyprevent violations, and will enforce as necessary, and provide public review startededucation about proper handling and disposal methods, and how to prevent violations.
