Promotion of distribution. and production of television programmes 1. Switzerland shall apply by analogy Articles 4 and 5 of Council Directive 89/552/EEC of 3 October 1989 on the coordination of certain provisions laid down by law, regulation or administrative action in Member States concerning the pursuit of television broadcasting activities, as amended by Directive 97/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 June 1997, and shall ensure that broadcasters subject to the jurisdiction of its authorities implement them. 2. For the purposes of implementation of the previous paragraph, the definition of a European work shall be that set out in Article 6 of Council Directive 89/552/EEC of 3 October 1989 on the coordination of certain provisions laid down by law, regulation or administrative action in Member States concerning the pursuit of television broadcasting activities, as amended by Directive 97/36/EC.
