Promotion Within the Unit. A unit member promoted to a new classification shall serve a six (6) month probationary period within the new classification. During the probationary period, the unit member may return to the previous classification at his/her option by submitting a transfer application request to Human Resources or the District may return the unit member to the previous classification.
