The Protection from Malicious Code clause is designed to prevent the introduction and spread of harmful software, such as viruses, worms, or trojans, within a contractual relationship. Typically, this clause requires each party to ensure that any software, files, or electronic communications they provide are free from malicious code, and may obligate them to use up-to-date antivirus tools and promptly notify the other party if an incident occurs. Its core function is to allocate responsibility for cybersecurity risks, thereby protecting both parties from potential data loss, system damage, or business disruption caused by malicious code.
Protection from Malicious Code. For cloud hosted solutions, vendors must utilize antivirus/antispyware software on servers and monitor to prevent malicious code which may lead to a compromise of OCHCA’s data. • For local hosted solutions, vendors must ensure that the application appropriately supports the use of antivirus/antispyware software.
Protection from Malicious Code. Provider will reveal potential compatibility issues with Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) virus 11 scanning software.

  • Malicious Code DST shall implement controls that are designed to detect the introduction or intrusion of malicious code on information systems handling or holding Fund Data and implement a process for removing said malicious code from information systems handling or holding Fund Data.
