Common use of Provider Network Capacity Clause in Contracts

Provider Network Capacity. (3 pages, plus 1 additional page per additional MCO Program bid if the Respondent’s response differs by MCO Program) HHSC has targeted improved Network capacity and improved Member access to Covered Services as a priority for the Initial Contract Period. 1. indicate which, if any, Covered Services are not available from a qualified Provider in the Respondent’s proposed Network in the Service Area and how the Respondent proposes to provide such Covered Services to Members in the Service Area; and 2. briefly describe how deficiencies will be addressed when the Provider Network is unable to provide a Member with appropriate access to Covered Services due to lack of a qualified Network Provider within the travel distance of the Member’s residence specified in Section 8.
