Common use of Provider-Preventable Conditions Clause in Contracts

Provider-Preventable Conditions. a. Contractor is prohibited from making payment to a provider for provider-preventable conditions that are outlined in the Michigan Medicaid State Plan. b. Contractor must require all providers to report provider-preventable conditions associated with claims for payment or Enrollee treatment for which payment would otherwise be made in accordance with federal Medicaid regulations.
