Provisions of Information. (a) Discussions will take place as soon as is practicable after the employer has made a definite decision that redundancies are likely. The discussions will include, but are not limited to; any reasons for the proposed redundancies, measures to avoid or minimise the redundancies and measures to mitigate any adverse effects of any redundancy on the employees concerned. (b) For the purposes of the discussion, the employer will, as soon as practicable, provide to the employees’ Union, all relevant information about the proposed redundancies including the reasons for the proposed redundancies, the numbers of workers normally employed, the number of employees to be made redundant and the period over which the redundancies are likely to be carried out.
