Public Works Laws. The Grant Recipient certifies that all contractors and subcontractors performing work on the Project shall comply with state Prevailing Wages on Public Works, Chapter 39.12 RCW, as applicable to the Project funded by the Grant Award, including but not limited to the filing of the “Statement of Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages” and “Affidavit of Wages Paid” as required by RCW 39.12.040. The Grant Recipient shall maintain records sufficient to evidence compliance with Chapter 39.12 RCW, and shall make such records available for King County Department of Local Services’ review upon request Grant Recipient will comply with all other applicable public works laws, regulations, and ordinances, including but not limited to those related to retainage (see RCW 60.28), bonding (see RCW 39.08), use of licensed contractors (see RCW 39.06), and competitive bidding (see RCW 36.32 and RCW 35.21.278). ▇▇▇▇▇ Recipient will indemnify and defend King County should it be sued or made the subject of an administrative investigation or hearing for a violation of such laws, regulations, and ordinances in connection with the improvements.
