Common use of Pupil Exclusion Clause in Contracts

Pupil Exclusion. A teacher may exclude a pupil from a class session when the grossness of the offense, the persistence of the misbehavior, or the disruptive effect of the violation makes the continued presence of the student in the classroom intolerable. A teacher may use reasonable measures to protect himself/herself from attack or to prevent injury to another student. The teacher will furnish the principal as promptly as teaching obligations will allow, full particulars of the above incidents on the appropriate misconduct form. The principal will communicate the disposition of the matter to the teacher before the student is allowed to return to the sending teacher. A complete copy of BOARD policy regarding discipline shall be made a part of the teacher handbook and furnished to all teachers.
