Purpose of Tenure. Tenure is intended to guarantee academic freedom for the employee as described in Article 6. Tenure is not intended to protect the employee from the withholding of promotion in accordance with Article 16 or from reprimand, dismissal, or severance in accordance with Articles 29 and 31.
