Pursuant to Ed. Code Section 35036(b) the District is prohibited from giving priority to a teacher who requests to be transferred over other qualified applicants if the transfer is made after April 15 prior to the year that the transfer would be effective. This legislation supersedes all contrary provisions in this Article. If this legislation is rescinded or modified, the prior language shall become effective subject to meeting and negotiating any impact or effects of changes.
