Qualifications and Certification. (a) Whenever a certificate is required by the Laws of Saskatchewan or this agreement as a condition of employment, the certificate shall be one issued or approved by the Province of Saskatchewan. Such certificates must be presented to the Human Resources Section as required. (b) Building Operators shall hold a Caretaker Fireman Certificate unless the school plant requires a 5th Class or higher Engineer Certificate as issued by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Labour. (c) Where Building Operators require a 5th Class Engineer Certificate, Caretakers who have completed or show promise to complete the Building Operator Training Program shall be eligible for reimbursement of 50% of the cost of obtaining the initial 5th Class certification. The cost of subsequent renewal shall be the responsibility of the employee. (d) Any new certificates required by the Board or governing authority, due to new duties, equipment or duties assigned to employees, shall be paid for by the Board. The cost of subsequent renewal of such certificates shall be the responsibility of the employee. This clause shall only apply to employees currently in the affected position. (a) In exceptional circumstances, should it become apparent that a new assignment is in the best interests of the students, the Board and the employee; an administrative initiated transfer can be initiated. Prior to initiating this transfer, the Board would engage in consultation and dialogue with the employee and the Union outlining the rationale for the move and the benefits of a new placement for all affected by such move. Variables which would be considered exceptional circumstance could include; changing needs of the school and/or division, and the need for growth opportunity for the employee. (b) This transfer would take effect at the time which best meets the needs of all parties and the appropriate support would be provided to the employee to assist with a smooth transition to their new assignment. Where ever possible the transfer would take place at the beginning of the following school year or at a natural school break. (c) Positions in all groups except Group E which become vacant as a result of Administrative Initiated Transfers will be posted as per 15:01. Transfers within the vacant job classification will occur prior to promotion or increase in FTE’s. Qualifications and Certification. Where you advise us that you (or your subcontractors) are certified, we may verify the relevant certification. However the validity of the certificate always remains your responsibility. We advise Homeowners to request sight of evidence of applicable trade accreditations or registrations, and to perform any relevant checks prior to work commencing on a project or job. You agree to comply with any reasonable requests submitted by the Homeowners with regards to the verification of such accreditations, registrations or information. Any checks on trade accreditations or registrations that we carry out do not reduce your obligation to ensure that all your subcontractors and any personnel involved in the project or job have the required trade accreditation or registration to carry out specific aspects of the project or job.

  • SUBCONTRACTOR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS Any Contractor representations or certifications set forth in this Contract shall apply to subcontractors (at any tier) and Contractor shall not utilize any subcontractors (at any tier) who cannot provide such representations or certifications, excepting the certification to be registered with Washington’s Statewide Payee Desk, unless Purchaser will pay such subcontractor directly.
