RDDS availability Clause Samples

The "RDDS availability" clause defines the requirement for making Registration Data Directory Services (RDDS) accessible to users. Typically, this clause specifies the technical standards, uptime commitments, and response times that must be met to ensure that domain registration data can be reliably queried and retrieved. For example, it may require that the RDDS be available 24/7 with minimal downtime and that queries return results within a set timeframe. The core function of this clause is to ensure transparency and accessibility of domain registration information, thereby supporting accountability and trust in domain name management.
RDDS availability. Refers to the ability of all the RDDS services for the TLD, to respond to queries from an Internet user with appropriate data from the relevant Registry System. If 51% or more of the RDDS testing probes see any of the RDDS services as unavailable during a given time, the RDDS will be considered unavailable.
