Reactive Demand Clause Samples

The Reactive Demand clause establishes the right or obligation for one party to adjust its demand for goods or services in response to certain triggers or changing circumstances. In practice, this might allow a buyer to increase or decrease order quantities based on fluctuations in market demand, supply chain disruptions, or other specified events. By including this clause, the contract provides flexibility to adapt to real-time needs, helping both parties manage risk and maintain operational efficiency in dynamic environments.
Reactive Demand. The Reactive Demand will be the highest 15-minute integrated kilovoltamperes of lagging reactive demand established during the month less one-third of the highest 15-minute integrated kilowatt demand established during that month. These rates shall be revised periodically to reflect changes in the costs and billing determinants of Central ▇▇▇▇▇▇’▇ primary and secondary distribution facilities.
Reactive Demand. The kVAR as shown by or computed from the readings of the Company's reactive demand meter, determined to the nearest kilovar. The customer is not billed for reactive demand unless the customer's power factor is less than 89.44% lagging, equivalent to situations where kVAR of reactive demand exceed 50 percent of billing demand. The power factor will be based on the highest kW demand and kVAR demand for the billing period. Exhibit 1 (Continued)
