Reassigned Time for Research Sample Clauses

The "Reassigned Time for Research" clause grants faculty members a reduction in their regular teaching or administrative duties to allow dedicated time for research activities. Typically, this means a professor may teach fewer courses or have fewer committee responsibilities during a specified period, enabling them to focus on scholarly projects, grant writing, or other research-related tasks. The core function of this clause is to support academic productivity by ensuring faculty have sufficient time to pursue research, which benefits both the individual and the institution through enhanced scholarship and potential funding opportunities.
