Recall and Layoff. When a member is recalled from layoff in accordance with the provisions of Article 11 – Layoff and Recall, he/she shall, as a general rule, be paid at the same salary he/she was paid immediately prior to the layoff. However, the Superintendent of Schools shall have the sole discretion to recommend a higher salary, upon recall, which recommendation shall become final upon approval by the Board of Education, and which shall not be subject to review thereafter.
