Reclassification Procedure. A. Employees may request reclassification by submitting a completed Position Description Form and written explanation for the proposed reclassification to a specific bargaining unit classification to the Agency HR Office. Reclassification must be based on a finding that the duties and responsibilities of a position have been significantly enlarged, diminished or altered, but the knowledge, skills and abilities required are still essentially similar to those previously required. B. The Agency shall review and verify the duties assigned to the position. Within thirty (30) days after receipt of the reclassification request, the Agency shall notify the Union of its findings. If the findings indicate reclassification, the Agency shall decide to seek approval if necessary or remove the duties.
