Recommendations of Payment by Architect Sample Clauses

The 'Recommendations of Payment by Architect' clause assigns the architect the responsibility of reviewing and certifying payment requests submitted by the contractor during a construction project. In practice, the architect examines the progress of the work, verifies that completed tasks meet contractual standards, and then recommends to the owner the amount to be paid for each stage or milestone. This process ensures that payments are only made for work that has been properly completed, thereby protecting the owner's financial interests and maintaining accountability throughout the project.
Recommendations of Payment by Architect constitute Architect’s representation to the District that work has progressed to the point indicated to the best of Architect’s knowledge, information, and belief, and that the quality of the work is in general conformance with the contract documents.
