Reduction in Work Hours. There shall be no reduction in the normal work hours provided for any Employee or position without notification to the Association as to the reasons for the reduction and its ramifications. In no case shall a reduction of any Employee’s work hours take effect until fifteen (15) business days after written notice to the affected Employee(s) is given by the Board or it’s designee. In the event an Employee is notified of a reduction in his/her scheduled hours, the Employee shall be allowed to bump the least senior member in the same classification with the same or comparable hours. Comparable hours for the purpose of this section would be forty-five (45) minutes either way. If no position is available within the member's classification, he/she may bump the least senior person in another classification in which he/she has seniority, meets any certification requirements and meets the requirements of the job description.
