Reduction or Elimination of Work. Any individual who has a continuing appointment may be laid off if the ▇▇▇▇ determines that the work performed by the individual is being eliminated, reduced, or reassigned to a tenure-stream faculty member. In such cases, the individual shall be entitled to notice at least one year prior to the effective date of the layoff. Written reasons for the layoff shall be provided to the individual and to the Union. Such a layoff shall not be deemed retrenchment under Article 22, and none of the terms of that article shall apply. The work being done by the individual identified for layoff may continue, provided the remaining work is less than 50 percent FTE, and be performed at a reduced level by remaining non-tenure-track faculty members if those
