Common use of REDUCTION PROCEDURE Clause in Contracts

REDUCTION PROCEDURE. In the event a position within the bargaining unit is eliminated, the following procedure will be used: 1. The Employer will identify the position being eliminated. 2. All remaining positions will be posted for bidding by employees in the job classification. • 3. An employee who, as a result of the elimination of a position finds no position remaining on the list for bidding, has the right to displace the least seniored employee in another job classification covered by this agreement providing the employee is Qualified and has' more seniority than the displaced employee.
