REFERENCES TO U.S Clause Samples

The "References to U.S" clause defines how references to the United States or its laws, regulations, or governmental bodies should be interpreted within the contract. Typically, this clause clarifies that any mention of U.S. statutes, agencies, or standards refers specifically to those in effect at the time of the agreement, and may address how to handle changes in law or agency names. Its core function is to ensure clarity and consistency in interpreting contractual obligations that depend on U.S. legal or regulatory frameworks, thereby preventing misunderstandings or disputes over jurisdictional references.
