Release and Care of Collateral; Status of Liens Sample Clauses

The "Release and Care of Collateral; Status of Liens" clause governs how collateral provided under an agreement is maintained, released, and how liens on that collateral are managed. It typically outlines the conditions under which the secured party must release its interest in the collateral, such as upon full repayment of the underlying obligation, and may specify the borrower's responsibilities to preserve the value and legal status of the collateral, including keeping it free from unauthorized liens. This clause ensures that both parties understand their rights and duties regarding the collateral, thereby protecting the lender’s security interest while providing a clear process for the borrower to regain unencumbered ownership once obligations are satisfied.
