Common use of Relief Driver Clause in Contracts

Relief Driver. An employee who is employed to fill a full or part-time position on a per diem basis while the regular employee is absent or on approved leave. It is expressly understood and agreed that a relief driver shall in no case fill any vacancy for a period in excess of the probationary period as above defined.
