Common use of Relief Operator Clause in Contracts

Relief Operator. Section 1: If an operator's relief operator does not report on time to the relief point, the operator waiting for relief will be given preference in continuing the run to completion at time and a half. The operator waiting for relief must notify the dispatcher as to his or her decision of whether he or she wishes to continue the run or be relieved within two hours. Section 2: The employee shall be guaranteed no less than one (1) hour relief time if not relieved. Section 3: If requested, and not relieved at the end of the first two hours, the operator may return the bus to the yard.
