Common use of Remote Location Clause in Contracts

Remote Location. If an employee is called on a designated holiday, or on a day of rest, or after leaving the workplace subsequent to a normal workday, and the employee may at the Employer's discretion resolve the issue remotely without returning to the workplace, the employee shall be paid the greater of: (a) one (1) hour's pay at the applicable overtime rate; or (b) the applicable rate of overtime compensation for time worked, provided that the period worked by the employee is not contiguous to the employee's normal hours of work.
