Removal from Contract Work. As provided in the clause entitled "Qualifications of Employees," the OCO or a designated representative may require the Contractor to remove any employee(s) from GSA controlled buildings or other real property should it be determined that the individual(s) is either unsuitable for security reasons or otherwise unfit to work on Government controlled property. This shall include, but not be limited to, instances where an employee is determined, in the Government's sole discretion, to be incompetent, careless, insubordinate, unsuitable, or otherwise objectionable. When the Government deems the employee’s continued employment to be contrary to the public interest, inconsistent with the best interests of security, or when the employee is identified as a potential threat to the health, safety, security, general well-being, or operational mission of the facility and its population. The OCO may also request the Contractor to immediately remove any employee from the work site if it is determined that individuals are being assigned to duty who have been disqualified for either suitability or security reasons or who are found to be unfit for performing duties during their tour of duty. Contractor employees who are removed from Contract work shall be required to leave the work site immediately. The Contractor shall comply with any removal request. For clarification, a determination to remove an employee will be made for, but is not limited to, incidents involving the most immediately identifiable types of misconduct or delinquency as set forth below: ● Failure to receive a suitability determination, temporary clearance, or clearance from the Government Agency. ● Violation of Federal, State, or Local law. ● Violation of the Rules and Regulations Governing Public Buildings and Grounds, 41 CFR 101-

  • Contract Work Contract work means capital project work within existing plant facilities, major maintenance and/or revamp work, plant modifications and/or shutdown work, minor maintenance and/or repair work, breakdown maintenance.

  • Selection of Subcontractors, Procurement of Materials and Leasing of Equipment The contractor shall not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disability in the selection and retention of subcontractors, including procurement of materials and leases of equipment.   • CONDITIONS FOR EMERGENCY/HURRICANE OR DISASTER - TERM CONTRACTS It is hereby made a part of this Invitation for Bids that before, during and after a public emergency, disaster, hurricane, flood, or other acts of God that Orange County shall require a “first priority” basis for goods and services. It is vital and imperative that the majority of citizens are protected from any emergency situation which threatens public health and safety, as determined by the County. Contractor agrees to rent/sell/lease all goods and services to the County or other governmental entities as opposed to a private citizen, on a first priority basis. The County expects to pay contractual prices for all goods or services required during an emergency situation. Contractor shall furnish a twenty-four (24) hour phone number in the event of such an emergency.

  • Notice to Proceed - Site Improvements The Recipient shall not commence, or cause to be commenced, any site improvements or other work on the Land until the Director has issued a Notice to Proceed to the Recipient. Such Notice to Proceed will not be issued until the Director is assured that the Recipient has complied with all requirements for the approval of a grant under Revised Code Sections 164.20 through 164.27 and has completed any land acquisition required by the Project. A Notice to Proceed shall be required for all Project prime contractors or direct procurement initiated by the Recipient following execution of this Agreement.

  • Removal of Improvements All alterations, additions and other improvements by Tenant shall become the property of Landlord and shall not be removed from the Premises, unless request is made by Landlord to Tenant to remove those alterations, additions and other improvements which were made without Landlord's approval where such approval was required under this Lease. All moveable trade fixtures, furniture, furnishings and signs installed in the Premises by Tenant and paid for by Tenant, shall remain the property of Tenant and may be removed upon the expiration of the term of this Lease; provided that any of such items as are affixed to the Premises and require severance may be removed only if Tenant repairs any damage caused by such removal and that Tenant shall otherwise comply with all of the terms, conditions and covenants to be performed by Tenant under this Lease with respect to such removal. If Tenant fails to remove such items from the Premises by the expiration of the Lease Term or earlier termination of this Lease, all such trade fixtures, furniture, furnishings and signs shall become the property of Landlord, unless Landlord elects to require their removal, in which case Tenant shall, at its sole cost and expense, promptly remove the same and restore the Premises to its condition on the date of this Lease. The covenants contained in this Section shall survive the expiration of the Lease Term or earlier termination hereof.
