Common use of Replacement of Certificates Clause in Contracts

Replacement of Certificates. Should any Certificate be lost, stolen, mutilated, defaced or destroyed, it may, subject to all applicable laws and stock exchange requirements, be replaced at the specified office of the Registrar, or any other place approved by the Registrar of which notice shall have been published in accordance with Condition 12, upon payment by the claimant of such costs, expenses, taxes and duties as may be incurred in connection therewith and on such terms as to evidence, security and indemnity as the Issuer may reasonably require. Mutilated or defaced Certificates must be surrendered before replacements will be issued.
