Common use of Reporting Expense Clause in Contracts

Reporting Expense. When qualified workers report for work as directed and for whom no work is provided, they shall be paid $60 (sixty dollars) reporting expense unless prevented from working by causes not under the control of the Employer. Any applicant who travels more than fifty (50) miles from the above referenced dispatch points to the job site and is not put to work shall be paid eight (8) hours at the dispatch rate of pay plus fringe benefit contributions. It being understood that the above reimbursements are for the inconvenience of reporting to the job site and are not to be construed as wages for work performed and that workers entitled to reporting expense shall not be required to remain on the job site except as provided below.
