Common use of Reporting Sick Clause in Contracts

Reporting Sick. I-1 Employees reporting sick will observe the following procedure: (a) Employees taking ill or suffering an accident during working hours, will notify their immediate supervisor before leaving their duties. (b) Where the illness or accident takes place at times other than the employee's normal working hours, the employee will notify her or his immediate supervisor or designate, as soon as possible but in any event, not less than one (1) hour prior to the day shift and four (4) hours for all other shifts. (c) Prior to resuming work, following sick leave, the employee will provide reasonable notice to her or his nursing unit.
