Responsibilities: To ensure the effective and efficient operation and maintenance and repair of all BHS equipment and related services that is to be delivered under the employers’ contract with the customer. • To ensure that all faults, and baggage jams are rectified safely, quickly and as efficiently as possible. • To ensure that all maintenance tasks are carried out on schedule and to accurately record all work for maintenance and fault rectification. • Ensure that all paperwork is completed. • To assist in training of new employees and the development of their required skills in all areas. Essential Requirements: • Ability to follow management directives • Ability to meet deadlines • High degree of operational computer skills • Ability to work through preventative maintenance schedules • Ability to plan and prioritise work schedules • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Baggage Handling Systems and related equipment and services. • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of system fallback procedures • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Airflow System as permitted and where required under the employers’ contract with the customer • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Aerobridge operations where required under the employers’ contract with the customer • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Nose in Guidance System operations where required under the employers’ contract with the customer • Ability to work a rotating shift Qualifications: • Trade Qualifications in either an Electrical or Mechanical background are essential • Post trade certificate in Hydraulics, Programmable Logic Controllers or an appropriate Engineering field are desirable • To hold an Airside drivers license or be able to obtain one is essential • To hold current CPR and LVR accreditation is desirable • To hold a current ASIC pass or be able to obtain one is essential Personal Skills and Attributes: • Pro Active approach to work and all related tasks • Excellent communication skills • High level of customer focus • Enthusiastic nature • Work place Health and Safety conscious • Willingness to perform duties to the best of their abilities • Punctual, honest and well presented • Commitment to any or all tasks undertaken • Flexible • Perform well under pressure • Willingness to learn and change with a company focus
