Common use of Representative Access Clause in Contracts

Representative Access. Consistent with the County’s Employee Relations Ordinance, authorized Union Representatives will be granted reasonable access to work locations with the approval of the appropriate management representative for the purpose of conducting grievance investigations and observing working conditions. To gain such access, Union Representatives shall obtain permission from the department head or designee at least one business day in advance. Once access permission is granted and the Union Representative arrives, the representative shall confine activity specifically to the stated reason for the requested access.
