Common use of Representative Time Off Clause in Contracts

Representative Time Off. Subject to the needs of the Employer to maintain adequate ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ of the fire stations and to meet emergencies and without disruption of services and responses, Employees elected or appointed to represent the Union shall be permitted up to five (5) shifts off without pay per calendar year to attend the State and International Biennial Conventions and meetings or seminars. Any Employee desiring such time off without pay shall submit a written request to his supervisor not less than fourteen (14) days in advance of the requested dates off. Approval of such unpaid time off shall not be unreasonably withheld.
