Request and Approval. 5.3.4.1 All vacation time must be requested at least seven (7) calendar days in advance of use. However, in emergency situations, vacation time may be granted at the employee’s supervisor’s discretion with less than the seven (7) calendar day advance request. This exception can only occur up to two (2) times per calendar year. Vacation leave will be granted on a first request basis and will normally conform to program operation schedules. The maximum number of employees taking vacation leave at any one time in the Adult Services Program shall be limited in accordance with the provisions set forth in Article 5.2.1. 5.3.4.2 Vacation leave shall be requested in writing on the request form provided by the Board.
