Common use of Request Denial Clause in Contracts

Request Denial. Questions raised by Human Resources concerning the eligibility of an 22 employee to receive benefits will be reviewed by the Overview Committee which will make 23 the final determination as to eligibility for benefits. In cases denied, the Overview Committee 24 shall provide, in writing, reason(s) for such denial. The applicant may appeal their request to 25 the committee for reconsideration within ten (10) days from receipt of denial. The Overview 26 Committee’s determination is not subject to the grievance procedure and arbitration.
