Requirements for Use. Each full-time employee shall accumulate sick leave, which may be utilized, upon the approval of the Fire Chief for absences due to personal injury, illness, or medical procedure; illness, injury or medical procedure of an employee’s immediate family (includes parents, spouse and children of the employee or the employee’s spouse, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ children, or person permanently residing with the employee that is dependent on the employee for care); or as otherwise specified in this Article.
