Responsibilities and Duties. The Department Chair shall be responsible for all those duties and obligations set forth in the official job description for the Department Chair. The Department Chair shall also assume any additional administrative responsibilities and duties as may be assigned, under the supervision and direction of the Superintendent and in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois and the policies, rules, and regulations of the Board, for the planning, operation and evaluation of the educational program of the District. The Building Principal, in its sole discretion, may assign the Department Chair to teach up to one class during the term of this Contract.
