Responsibility Contract. Each employee shall be paid on a supplemental contract for responsibilities performed outside the contracted workday and/or work year, including but not limited to: A. Preparation for school opening and semester transitions. B. Work connected with the conclusion of the school year. C. Conferencing with parents beyond the contracted work day, including phone conferences. D. Participation in student and PTA activities. E. Providing individual assistance to students beyond the contracted work day. F. Evaluation of special projects and student progress at grading periods. G. Workshops, classes and inservice work, with or without credit. H. Researching educational materials, supplies; preparation of curriculum. I. Improving and maintaining professional skills. J. Preparation and revision of materials. K. Planning with other staff in areas of instruction and curriculum. L. Working with computers and other technology as related to educational uses. M. Attending District-connected meetings such as PTA, Open House. N. Participation on, preparation for, or work subsequent to District/Association Committees. O. Attendance at multi-disciplinary meetings when such meetings extend beyond the normal work day. P. New teacher orientation. Q. Unreimbursed Department Head duties. R. The posting of online grades for viewing by parents, students and staff. S. Posting assessment scores on the student information system or inputting running records. 18.2.1 The responsibility contract will be paid according to Schedule 29B – The Responsibility Factor Schedule. For employees working less than full-time, this stipend shall be prorated. 18.2.2 In this contract is a requirement for staff to remain technologically current. This stipend will include an amount equal to 2.2% of the employee’s annual base salary dependent upon continued successful passage and receipt of funds from a technology levy. The District shall offer professional development for staff in areas aligned to the current tech levy, including areas such as student information systems, progress monitoring, system-wide tools and services, implementation of BYOD, etc. Technology proficiency (including participation in such professional development) is compensated by this stipend. 18.2.3 Included within the Responsibility Contract is fifteen (15) hours (1.1% of base salary) intended to off-set the increase of the regular workday on student school days to seven hours and thirty five minutes pursuant to Section 19.14.2. 18.2.4 Each cell of the 2016-17 responsibility contract schedule shall be calculated as the corresponding cell on the 2015-16 responsibility factor schedule increased by 3% of the corresponding cell on the 2015-16 base schedule. The adjustments for cells at year 17 and above are calculated off the year 16 cells of the base schedule. 18.2.5 For the 2017-18 school year, each cell on the previous year’s responsibility contract schedule shall be increased by 3% of the corresponding cell on the 2016-17 base schedule. The adjustments for cells at year 17 and above are calculated off the year 16 cells of the base schedule. 18.2.6 For the 2018-19 school year, each cell on the previous year’s responsibility contract schedule shall be increased by 4% of the corresponding cell on the 2017-18 base schedule. The adjustments for cells at year 17 and above are calculated off the year 16 cells of the base schedule. 18.2.7 For the 2017-18 and 2018-19 school years, the rates and stipends in Addendums C- 2 through C-8 (also known as Schedules ▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇, and Schedule 24 shall be increased by the same percentage increase as the base schedule for that year. This increase shall apply to Addendum C-9 (substitute teacher rate) for the 2018-19 school year but not the 2017-18 school year because of a specific increase negotiated for that year.

18.2.2 In this contract is a requirement for staff to remain technologically current. This stipend will include an amount equal to 2.2% of the employee’s annual base salary twenty-two and one-half (22.5) hours at per diem pay dependent upon continued successful passage and receipt of funds from a technology levy. The District shall offer Proficiency maintenance of seven and one-half (7.5) hours and Technology integration professional development for staff in areas aligned to the current tech levyof fifteen (15) hours, including areas such as student information systems, progress monitoring, system-wide tools is described and services, implementation of BYOD, etc. Technology proficiency documented on a timesheet (including participation in such professional development) is compensated by this stipendAddendum H).
18.2.3 Included within the Responsibility Contract is fifteen (15) hours (1.1% of base salary) intended to off-set the increase of the regular workday on student school days to seven hours and thirty five minutes pursuant to Section 19.14.2.
18.2.4 Each cell of the 20162013-17 14 responsibility contract schedule shall be calculated as the corresponding cell on the 20152012-16 13 responsibility factor schedule decreased by .55% of the 2013-14 base schedule (because one day of time has been shifted to the supplemental days contract) and then increased by 32.25% of the corresponding cell on the 20152012-16 13 base schedule. The adjustments for cells at year 17 and above are calculated off the year 16 cells of the base schedule.
18.2.5 For the 20172014-18 15 school year, each cell on the previous year’s responsibility contract schedule shall be increased by 32.0% of the corresponding cell on the 20162013-17 14 base schedule. The adjustments for cells at year 17 and above are calculated off the year 16 cells of the base schedule.
18.2.6 For the 20182015-19 16 school year, the intent is to ensure an increase to employees of 3.0% of the 2014-15 base schedule, or the state-funded cost of living adjustment (COLA), whichever is higher. This is functionally applied as an increase to each cell on of the previous year’s 2014-15 responsibility contract schedule shall be increased by 4of 3.0% of the corresponding cell on the 20172014-18 15 base schedule, or if less, the difference between 3.0% and the percentage provided in that year as a state-funded COLA, if any. The adjustments for cells at year 17 and above are calculated off the year 16 cells of the base schedule.
18.2.7 For the 20172013-18 14, 2014-15 and 20182015-19 16 school years, the rates and stipends in Addendums C- 2 C-2 through C-8 (also known as Schedules ▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇, ▇ and Schedule 24 minus Addendum C-9) shall be increased by the same percentage increase as the base schedule for that yearannual percentages identified in Sections 18.2.4, 18.2.5 and 18.2.6 respectively.
