Responsibility for the Chromebook.  It is the responsibility of the student to exercise proper care of his or her Chromebook. In the event of damage to the Chromebook, the cost to repair or replace the Chromebook shall be the responsibility of the student and parent. The invoice must be paid within 30 days or the student will lose the privilege of taking the Chromebook home.  Students must bring their Chromebooks to school every day and make sure it is fully charged. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action. In grades 6 through 8, this will result in a “checkmark”.  If students leave their Chromebook at home, they are responsible for getting the course work finished as if they had their Chromebook present.  Do not place your Chromebook in your locker, in your desk, in your backpack, or on the floor. It should be placed either on your desk or in the desk tray under your seat.  Students must treat their device with care and never leave it in an unsecured location.  Students must keep their device in a protective case when traveling.  Students must promptly report any problems with their Chromebook to the teacher(s).  Students may not remove or tamper with Ss. ▇▇▇▇▇ and ▇▇▇▇ School identification tags.  Students are required to use their assigned domain user ID and password to access their accounts. Students should keep their passwords confidential. Effective 06/28/2018  Students are required to follow copyright laws concerning all media including text, images, programs, music, and video. Downloading, sharing, and posting illegally obtained media is against Ss. ▇▇▇▇▇ and ▇▇▇▇ School electronics use policy. If the student is unsure about content, a teacher should be consulted.  Inappropriate media may not be used as Chromebook backgrounds or themes. The presence of such media will result in disciplinary action.  Sound must be muted at all times unless permission is obtained from a teacher.  Personal music is not allowed on the Chromebook. Any music on the device should only be added at the request and discretion of the teacher.  Only educational internet games are to be used on the Chromebooks at the discretion of the classroom/computer teacher (s).
Responsibility for the Chromebook. Students are responsible to care for the Chromebook and any accessories issued to them and must adhere to the following: • Students must comply with the District’s Technology Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) (6163.4). • Students must have a signed copy of the PVSD AUP on file with their school before using their Chromebook. • Unless otherwise instructed, the Chromebooks are intended for use at school each day. Students are responsible for bringing their fully charged Chromebook (and charger, if needed) to school every day. • Students should treat their device with care (i.e. keep away from food and liquid, avoid dropping it, etc.) and never leave it in an unsecured location. • Students must promptly report any technical problems, loss, or theft of the device or accessories to school staff. • The serial number and other identification tags must not be removed or interfered with. These tags allow us to identify and return lost or stolen devices. • Stickers or other decorations should not be added to the Chromebook casing. • Students shall not attempt to remove or change the physical structure of the Chromebook. This includes opening the device casing, removing the keys, screen cover or any other part of the device. • Students shall not attempt to modify, install or run any operating system or other unapproved software on the Chromebook, via USB, or by any other means. • Students shall not modify the device or use it in a way that bypasses any school protections, internet filters, etc. • Devices are to be used for assigned school/classwork only. They should not be used for personal use, gaming, etc. • Devices should be kept clean using only approved computer device and screen cleaners.
Responsibility for the Chromebook. Students are solely responsible for the Chromebooks issued to them and must adhere to the following: • Students must comply with the District’s Use of Technology Policy • Unless otherwise instructed, the Chromebooks are intended for use at school each day. Students are responsible for bringing their fully charged Chromebook to school every day. (Note: A fully charged Chromebook should last at least 8 hours.). • Students should treat their device with care and never leave it in an unsecured location. • Devices should be kept in a protective case or backpack when the student is traveling. • Students must promptly report any problems with their Chromebook to the school Technology Office. • Students may not attempt to remove or change the physical structure of the Chromebook, including the keys, screen cover or plastic casing. • Students may not attempt to install or run any operating system on the Chromebook other than the ChromeOS operating system supported by the District. • The devices should be kept clean, and nothing (ie. finger, pen, pencil, etc.) should touch the screen other than approved computer screen cleaners. Chromebooks are not touch-screen devices, and are operated via trackpad and keyboard only.
Responsibility for the Chromebook. Students are solely responsible for the Chromebook issued to them and must adhere to the following: ● Students must comply with the TCS Technology Use Policy when using their Chromebook. ● Students are encouraged to protect their Chromebook with a protective case. ● Students are encouraged to transport their Chromebook in an appropriate backpack. ● Students must bring their Chromebook fully charged to school each day. ● Students must keep their Chromebook on “silent” unless otherwise instructed by the teacher. ● Students must treat their device with care and never leave it in an unsecured location. ● Students may not remove or interfere with the serial number and other identification tags. ● Students may not attempt to remove or change the physical structure of the Chromebook, including the keys, screen cover or plastic casing. ● Students may not attempt to install or run any operating system on the Chromebook other than the Chrome OS operating system supported by TCS. ● Students should keep their Chromebook away from all food and drink.
Responsibility for the Chromebook. Students and their parents are responsible for the Chromebook issued to them and must adhere to the following: • Comply with all student handbook and district policies while using the Chromebook. • Handle the device with care and never leave it in an unsecured location. • Report any problems with, or damage to the Chromebook to the Technology Director, ▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ (▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇@▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇). • Do not remove or interfere with the serial number and other identification tags. • Do not remove or change the physical structure of the Chromebook, including the keys, screen cover, logos, labels, or protective casing. • Do not attempt to install or run any operating system on the Chromebook other than the operating system that is preinstalled on the device. • Students must keep their device clean and must not touch the screen with anything (e.g., your finger, pen, pencil, etc.) other than approved computer screen cleaners. • No food or drink near the device. • No excessive pressure (i.e. picking the device up by the screen or placing heavy objects on) to any part of the device. • If the student ceases to be enrolled at Elmwood Community School District 322, the student/parents will return the Chromebook in good working order or pay the full replacement cost of the device. • Loss or theft of the Chromebook will result in the student being charged the full replacement cost. • Failure to turn in a device will result in the student being charged the full replacement cost. The School District will also file a report of stolen property with the local law enforcement. The district also may place a hold on student academic records until the district has been reimbursed for the replacement cost of the Chromebook. • Do not place stickers or other adhesives onto either the case or Chromebook.

  • Responsibility for Content Vendor is solely responsible for administration, content, intellectual property rights, and all materials at Vendor’s website. DIR reserves the right to require a change of listed content if, in the opinion of DIR, it does not adequately represent the Contract.

  • Responsibility for Use (a) The Company alone will be responsible for furnishing, or arranging for a third party to furnish, all data and information required by the Documentation and the specifications therein for the Licensed System to function and perform in accordance with the Documentation, other than the data and information residing in the Licensed System in connection with BNYM’s performance of the Core Services. BNYM shall have no liability or responsibility for any Loss caused in whole or in part by the Company’s or a Permitted User’s exercise of the Licensed Rights or use of the Licensed System or by data or information of any nature inputted into the Licensed System by or under the direction or authorization of Company or a Permitted User; provided, however, this Section 2.5 shall not relieve BNYM of its obligation to act in accordance with its obligations under the Main Agreement. Company shall be responsible and solely liable for the cost or expense of regenerating any output or other remedial action if the Company, a Permitted User or an agent of either shall have failed to transmit properly and in the correct format any data or information, shall have transmitted erroneous or incorrect information or data, or shall have failed to timely verify or reconcile any such data or information when it is generated by the Licensed System (“Data Faults”).

  • Responsibility for Damage Resident is solely responsible for any damage, defacement or loss arising within the assigned bedroom space. All assigned residents of an apartment are jointly and severally responsible for any damage, defacement or loss to common areas, other parts of the Property, fixtures or appliances, except for the portion of damages over $100,000 where it is finally established that Resident or one or more other residents of the apartment were solely at fault for the entire loss, in which case such person(s) will be solely responsible. Resident is fully responsible for the conduct of Resident’s guests, visitors, licensees and invitees (“Guests”), including without limitation harm to individuals or damage or defacement of any part of the Property or its fixtures or property of third parties (including other residents) by such Guests.

  • Responsibility for Damages Contractor is responsible for all damage that occurs as a result of Contractor’s fault or negligence or that of its’ employees, agents, or representatives in connection with the performance of this Contract. Contractor shall immediately report any such damage to people and/or property to the Contract Administrator.

  • No Responsibility for Title, etc So long as and to the extent that it is in the exercise of reasonable care, the Custodian shall not be responsible for the title, validity or genuineness of any property or evidence of title thereto received or delivered by it pursuant to this Agreement.
